Anyway, luckily the other one was set to automatically backup to the cloud or I’d have had to retake all the celebrity photo selfie’s.

Anyway, I’m bored. So bored. I’m stuck in the Medlab till tomorrow so they can make sure my brain doesn’t melt or something.

If any of you other than Artie know ASL, let me know. Otherwise I’ve got a little white board you can use to talk to me care of Clarice. (Who is awesome and stopped me from being nanite food)

I mean, I can read lips but it’s not an exact science and trying to figure out why you’re trying to ask me about sheep when you’re really wanting to know if I want beef is annoying.

But I’m, really. Come visit. It’s busy down here but also creepy and I’m kinda worried about my brain. I’ve only just gotten used to it, so I don’t want it to dribble out my ear and take a vacation to CanCun.

I have my Grandparents and my father. I was taught our ceremonies and our history. But I’ll always remember that our traditional lands were stolen from us and my people were almost exterminated because European settlers wanted more than they were given.

Most of you know I’m deaf, not like it’s a huge secret or anything. I got my cochlear implants when I was young enough that I never had many problems passing.

They’re not perfect though and the difference between what I remember being able to hear as a kid and what I hear now is different. (Can’t think of a better word)

Anyway, I thought it might be cool to answer questions any of you might have?

Mocking free zone, I promise. And I won’t get angry if you ask stuff that you think I think is dumb.

(And yes, I can help you practice if you want to learn ASL. Frankly, the more people who know it, the better it is for me and everyone else)

And feel free to tell me something you want me to know about you too.

Been watching a lot of her content lately. There’s definitely things that having cochlear implants made me more aware of than some of my other deaf friends.

They don’t make me completely non-deaf since there’s still stuff that just doesn’t come through but it does at least help when I’m around non-deaf types.

(I still prefer ASL and for God’s sake face me when you talk to me, not that you folks aren’t great at that already but yeah, it’s better if I can see your lips even with the cochlear stuff)

Also, in other news, I’m going to be volunteering at one of the local polling booths come election time. There’s a whole group of us going to make sure nobody does anything shifty against mutant voters.
