Thoughts on sound
Most of you know I’m deaf, not like it’s a huge secret or anything. I got my cochlear implants when I was young enough that I never had many problems passing.
They’re not perfect though and the difference between what I remember being able to hear as a kid and what I hear now is different. (Can’t think of a better word)
Anyway, I thought it might be cool to answer questions any of you might have?
Mocking free zone, I promise. And I won’t get angry if you ask stuff that you think I think is dumb.
(And yes, I can help you practice if you want to learn ASL. Frankly, the more people who know it, the better it is for me and everyone else)
And feel free to tell me something you want me to know about you too.
This isn’t a trick. Anyway, ask away or tell me something. Whatever you want.

Quick example. ASL uses one handed finger spelling whereas BSL uses two handed finger spelling.
So, as someone who knows ASL, I might be able to sort of understand say, someone from France or South Africa but I’d be out of luck trying to understand someone from Australia or New Zealand.
Hope that helps?
