I'm personally of the opinion that if you're considered old enough to have the reasoning to drive/be tried as an adult in a court of law/etc. then you should be able to vote, but then I'd also like to have people educated in civics starting much earlier.

Seriously? That's what you're going with? I mean, Beyonce is a queen but she's not exactly ever made any indication that she'd like to be President. Until she does, I'd be more likely to vote for someone on the actual ticket.

Frankly, the idea that I as a teen am somehow less capable of controlling my impulses than the current 'adults' I see on the news losing their collective minds over a racist, misogynistic piece of garbage is somewhat hard to swallow.

Frankly, I'm thinking I'd pretty much way more educated than your standard adult who hasn't taken a proper civics class since they were my age.

With parental permission, I think it is legal. But it has never been a problem for me, so I do not know for sure. Yes, ask the law enforcement agent, he should know these things. But perhaps you could seek asylum.
