If the answer to 'does everyone here of age and legally able to vote?' Isn't yes then you're part of the problem.

Not legally able to, but certainly watching with dismay.

Are we entirely sure some telepath isn't playing games when it comes to Trump?

[identity profile] x-bevatron.livejournal.com 2016-03-04 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I am actually unsure which answer to that question is more disturbing.

[identity profile] x-skin.livejournal.com 2016-03-04 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that would beg the question of why.

[identity profile] xp-echo.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
*shrugs* I can think of a number of scenarios off the top of my head.

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2016-03-04 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
If that man is elected president I am moving to Asgard.

[identity profile] x-bevatron.livejournal.com 2016-03-04 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Might I emigrate with you? Thor is quite…dreamy is the only word I can decide upon. Angelo, might I convince you to share?

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2016-03-04 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Well I know he is receptive to threesomes.

[identity profile] x-bevatron.livejournal.com 2016-03-04 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I would assume so, being a god of fertility and such. In most mythologies the fertility gods have reputations for being…adventurous, no?

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2016-03-04 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes I had rather counted on that at the time.

[identity profile] x-skin.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 10:31 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know, the guy I met was kind of a dick. But maybe back in Asgard he'd be different.

[identity profile] xp-echo.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Can't any of you do anything to 'influence' things? You're meant to be super spies, right?

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
Oh but if I could, I would have done so already.

[identity profile] xp-echo.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
Well. Crap.

[identity profile] x-traction.livejournal.com 2016-03-04 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Amen. It's such a shit show and doesn't look like it's gonna get bettet any time soon :(

I'll just marry a canadian for citizenship. It's prettier up there anywaya

[identity profile] xp-echo.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
Fourteen year old - I'm not likely to be able to move anywhere. Unless Wade feels a pressing need to be elsewhere.

[identity profile] xp-erverse.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
why waste your damn time tho

[identity profile] xp-echo.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
Are you for serious, or just trying to troll?

[identity profile] xp-erverse.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
The American electoral system comes down to who can better afford to rig the election in their favor. Votes mean nothing.

[identity profile] xp-echo.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
It's sad that you're so easily influenced that you actually believe that.

[identity profile] xp-echo.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Such adult. Grownup Wow. And what does this 'being a grownup' consist of?

[identity profile] xp-erverse.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Arguing with 14 year olds on the Internet about the American plutocracy, apparently.

[identity profile] xp-echo.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 08:47 am (UTC)(link)
Why am I wanting this grownup thing again?

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
While cynical, Mr. Quire is also not incorrect. Your electoral system is outdated and far too easily corrupted by powers with far more resources than any of us.

[identity profile] xp-echo.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
And yet the answer of 'Not to play' doesn't work any better. You don't change a system by allowing those in power to continue to corrupt it.

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes the answer is to change the game entirely. Removing oneself from the system in order to better point out the invalid nature of the game is a perfectly acceptable strategy.

[identity profile] xp-echo.livejournal.com 2016-03-05 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Except it doesn't - because then you get individuals like Trump and the Tea Party candidates. Not voting, and not participating doesn't work. It just means that the people making the decisions get blank checks because their opponents didn't bother to turn up.

You wanna watch the world burn, be my guest but don't expect me to thank you for your 'non-participation' bullshit stances.
