It's probably no surprise that I hang out on Tumblr a lot. (Although lately I'm getting into TicToc. I'm not sure yet, there's some problematic stuff going on LBGTQIA content makers being banned etc. ) I'm told someone mentioned that we may get a Vine 2.0 at some point.

Anyway! Not the point. The link up there was posted to a discussion of 'Human's are space orcs', which was kinda cool. This one was specifically about how humans would die to help out their crews.

Much as I might hate individual people at times, every so often it seems like 'humanity' might not be all bad as a whole. I'm still not entirely sold on the whole 'people are cool' thing, but I suppose I might like one or two people.

Assuming you mean that. Like I said, I'm dipping a toe in. Depending on what the platform does about the accusations is going to inform whether I use it or not.

There's still a lot of really good content creators using the platform that aren't elsewhere.

Yeah, it's something like that, I think. It's become annoyingly hard for me to sort of sift through the bullshit in the previous few years, but I think recently it's come out that like the app is run by the Chinese government, or something?

I don't know. The government is like, banning it on employee smartphones and probing as to whether it's a national security threat, but these are also the people who like to blame rap music and video games for shootings, so I've completely given up trying to figure out what on earth they're thinking day-to-day.

They're being asked to prove they aren't run by the Chinese Government but it's not proven yet. I'm hesitant that some of it isn't racism or 'fear of yellow peril' bullshit, to be honest.

It's possible that everything that's being said about them is true though. I'm honestly more interested in their possible anti-LGBTQIA stance. If that's true, then I'll drop them like right now.
