It’s usually a little more nuanced than just a yes or no but ASL and BSL aren’t even partially intelligible. They’re entirely different languages.
Quick example. ASL uses one handed finger spelling whereas BSL uses two handed finger spelling.
So, as someone who knows ASL, I might be able to sort of understand say, someone from France or South Africa but I’d be out of luck trying to understand someone from Australia or New Zealand.
